We are pleased to now offer our 'Be an Ice Cream Maker for the Day' birthday parties! Want to celebrate your child's birthday in a way that is sure to create lasting memories? With our 'Ice Cream Maker for a Day' birthday parties, your child will not only pick out the ice cream that they want to create, but we will actually take them back in our kitchen and teach them (hands-on) how to make their own ice cream or gelato! They will mix the ingredients, put the mix into the ice cream machine and in about 30 minutes they will be tasting the ice cream that they just made!

Once in a great while an idea comes along that simply has to be acted upon. Years back, as we spent our vacations traveling throughout Colorado with our kids, we realized that there really were very few ice cream stores where ice cream was made the old fashioned way using fresh ingredients from nearby farmers, creams and dairy products from the local dairy and, most importantly, the time and effort to handcraft high quality ice cream! Hence the idea for Pikes Peak Ice Cream & Gelato was born!
As the perfect complement to fresh, handmade ice cream we also offer gelato (Italian ice cream). Gelato has much more flavor and less fat (1/3 less) than ice cream. Pikes Peak Ice Cream & Gelato offers the most authentic gelato available anywhere in Colorado. By duplicating the same process used by the gelato masters throughout Italy and by importing the highest-quality ingredients direct from Italy, our gelato has been closely compared to what can be found in Italy and throughout Europe. For our guests that may be lactose-intolerant, we are pleased to offer our fresh sorbetto which is water-based versus gelato which is milk-based.
Our ice cream & gelato store is located high up in the Rocky Mountains in the town of Monument, Colorado at an elevation of 7,400 feet above sea level. Pikes Peak Ice Cream literally basks in the shadows of 'America's Mountain', also known as Pikes Peak.When visiting our store, you will always find (30) or more flavors of ice cream and gelato, all of which are handmade in our store each and every morning from only the freshest, locally-sourced ingredients. Pikes Peak Ice Cream & Gelato actively participates in the local community by offering fundraising opportunities to local schools, churches and civic groups. We also provide catering services to businesses in Monument, Denver, Colorado Springs, Pueblo and all areas in-between. Using our mobile ice cream & gelato cart, we can cater any event ranging from 25 up to thousands of guests! Pikes Peak Ice Cream & Gelato can custom-create any ice cream or gelato flavor as we currently create ice cream and gelato for restaurants, coffee shops and stores up and down the Front Range of Colorado.
